As of September 1, Dorothee de Backer is the new Head of Product at Trust International, the leading value-for-money brand for digital lifestyle accessories. She will be responsible for Product Strategy, R&D, Product and Packaging Design, Category Management and (Product) Sustainability.
De Backer has more than 25 years of experience in regional and global product management and product marketing management roles at Philips and Harman International (JBL/Harman Kardon). In her new role at Trust, she’s part of the leadership team, and will be focusing on the transition towards a consistent and more sustainable product offering.
“Dorothee brings valuable experience in global business development, specializing in new product development and go-to-market strategies. We’re very excited to have her on board,” said Rogier Volmer, CEO at Trust International.

Trust recently announced it is taking fundamental steps in its mission to simplify everyday life with clever and sustainable solutions. With its Clevergreen initiative, the company is pursuing many projects concerning the environmental impact of its products, packaging, and operations. Trust is aiming to improve recyclability, already strongly reducing waste and plastics used in its products and packaging, and making more use of materials from renewable resources.
