There is no driver needed or available for this device. Once the device is connected, your system installs its own built-in system driver for it.
- Make sure your system is up to date
- Unplug the device and restart the system.
- When your system has completely loaded, connect the device directly to the USB port without using a hub or an extension cable.
- Check in the Device Manager if the product is correctly installed or if there is any error message reported.
- The device is ready to be used.
The LED will turn on when it is reading the inserted DNI- or smartcard.
If the LED will not switch on when the card is inserted, turn the card over.
The function of the DNIe Card reader device is basically to read the DNI or Smartcard.
Depending on the public service that you want to connect to, a specific program must be installed. These programs are provided by the services themselves and are usually available from the web pages of each of these services.
Make sure the smart card is inserted with the chip facing up.
On newer cards, the chip may be located on the back side, so you need to turn over the card before inserting it in the card slot.
Unfortunately, we do not have service centers to repair products.
A defective product should be replaced by your point of purchase during the warranty period.
We offer a 'return to retailer' warranty on our products. In case of a defect, you can return the product to your retailer with failure description, proof of purchase and all accessories. Our Smart Card readers are not compatible with CIE 3.0 which contain the NFC (contactless) chip.
