To install the webcam:
- Download the driver via the website
Note: Make sure to only download the correct driver version for your article version and operating system!
- Install the driver.
- Restart the computer
- Connect the camera to the computer.
- Make sure to set the camera as the default audio and video device on the computer. (If needed change the Windows Privacy settings to be able to do this)
- When using the webcam with an application make sure to set the camera as the default audio and video device in that application too.
Use webcam with Amcap
- Open AmCap.
- Enable Preview.
- Adjust focus using lens ring untill image clear.
Note: AmCap is a built-in video application. However, the cam can also be used with any other video program. The AmCap video settings (like image control, zoom, face tracking, special effects, etc.) may also be available within other video programs.
Use snapshot
- Press snapshot button when the cam is in use with application software.
- Click ‘File’ and select ‘Save As’ to save the photograph.
General usage
- Make sure there is sufficient light when use the cam.
- Use soft brush to clean the lens when it’s dusty.
- Snapshot works only when the cam is in use.
- The cam cannot be used in more than one application at the time.
- If re-connecting the cam to another USB port, Windows may need to automatically install the cam again.
This is a Windows setting.
In Windows 10, use the Privacy page to choose which apps can use a particular feature. Select Start > Settings > Privacy. Select the app and choose which app permissions are on or off.
- Make sure that webcam has been correctly installed
- When using Windows 10: Make sure the webcam (and if applicable, its microphone) are allowed in the Privacy settings to be used by the application
- In order to use the webcam with a program, we would advise you to select the Trust webcam as the default video and audio recording device in the configuration menu from the software you are trying to use the webcam with.
- For more information, please refer to software’s user information or contact the manufacturer for specific troubleshooting, which is usually available via the website of the manufacturer.
We would advise to use the Skype desktop app instead of the browser version.
Also make sure to download this app from the Skype website rather than from the Windows App store.
We always try to keep our products functional for as long as possible. As a result of the quick succession of developments in this sector and the advanced age of the product, we are no longer able to keep it compatible with the frequent releases of new Windows 10 updates. One of which has resulted in this error message, that indicates that the system is preventing you from running an installation (.exe) file, such as a hardware driver.
This product isn't supported on Windows 10 due to its advanced age. Therefore there are no new driver updates available. Nor can we provide information on removing this error message. There are various solutions for this message posted on the internet, including in the Microsoft forum. Please note that these solutions are not official, as there is no driver update available and therefore are not supported, nor is proper functioning guaranteed.

A defective product should be replaced by your point of purchase during the warranty period.
